Categories Overview (Video)
Categories are ways that we group PLUs (items) for use in different areas
We have four different groupings;
- Class
PLU Classes are used for high level (overview) reporting, and can also be used to order production output.
- Reporting Category
Reporting categories are used to group items when running reports at a more granular level than Classes.
- Keypad Category
Keypad categories are how we group items for use at POS.
- Production Category
Production categories are how we group items when sending to production devices; this could be a screen or printer.
NOTE: Production categories are new, and are only available if all your locations are running Polygon POS
