UberDirect - dAPI to DaaS Conversion (Implementation)

Uber is replacing the current Direct Integration from dAPI with DaaS. This article will assist with swapping a client from dAPI to DaaS.

Redcat intends that this change will be released for client UAT in December 2022.

The proposed production rollout would then commence in early January 2023 and would look something like:

• Turn on for a small enterprise (say 5-6 stores) on a Monday and if no issues,
• Enable one of the larger enterprises (approx 150 stores) on Wednesday. 

This will provide 2 days before the weekend if a rollback is required.

Provisioning

You will need to submit a Provisioning Request to the Implementations Team to:

• make the relevant adjustments for this client in the Uber Dashboard to change from dAPI to DaaS.

Polygon Central Configuration

To make the switch from dAPI to DaaS for a client you will need to enable the relevant configuration setting in Polygon Central.

• Access Polygon Central | Configuration | Integrations | Uber Direct
• Ensure the Use DaaS instead of dAPI setting is enabled.
• Use the Submit button to save the change.
